Dr. Judy Favor, the CEO and founder, is no stranger to success. She is an award-winning college softball coach, graduate educator, scholar, and speaker. Her impressive early career as an NCAA D1 and D2 coach includes leading Columbus State University to five consecutive NCAA National Tournaments, developing eight All-Americans, and earning four Coach-of-the-Year awards. She is in the Athletic Hall of Fame at Columbus State University, Southeast Missouri State University, and Culver-Stockton College and has served as a private softball pitching coach for over three decades, helping hundreds of young athletes achieve their dreams of playing college softball.

After transitioning from college athletics to academia and earning her Ph.D., Favor served as a faculty member and administrator for the last 28 years, most recently as a graduate faculty member in the Adult Learning and Leadership program at Kansas State University, where she served from 2012 - 2023. At KSU, she developed and taught graduate courses on coaching for high performance, effective team leadership, interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, employee motivation, and conflict management and was named Outstanding Graduate Faculty in the School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Studies.

For the last 20 years, Favor has dedicated her time and energy to leadership and team development. She specializes in 1-to-1 leadership coaching and designing and facilitating interactive workshops and classes tailored to working adults. She has presented on leadership and team development to diverse audiences across the United States, delivering hundreds of workshops to professionals in both technical and nontechnical fields. As a certified leadership coach and member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), she has over 2,000 hours of 1-to-1 leadership coaching experience with federal and corporate organizations.

 

​​Her 30 years of coaching and leadership experiences combined with academic expertise and research in leader and team development, personality, and adult learning provide a unique and practical approach to her work with leaders and teams. Clients enjoy and appreciate her passion, energy, commitment to excellence, and sense of humor.  ​

Favor's research "The Relationship Between Personality and Coachability in NCAA D1 and D2 Athletes" earned Dissertation of the Year honors in the College of Education at the University of Kansas in 2010. Her research has been published in the Journal of Coaching Education, the International Journal of Sport Science and Coaching, the Journal of Sport Management, and Adult Learning.  She has also written a mental skills workbook for athletes, Developing a Champion's Mindset: Tools to take YOUR Mental Game to the Next Level.
