Leadership Development Approach and Methodology 

Our approach and fundamental goal in leadership development is to help new, mid-level, senior, and future leaders identify and capitalize on leadership skills and strength they already possess, identify and challenge inhibiting beliefs and behaviors, and learn or improve critical leadership skills that influence both their leadership impact and employee performance and retention. One-to-one coaching and customized leadership workshops help leaders, managers, and supervisors become more self-aware and improve specific skills including communication, building trust, motivating, engaging and empowering team members, conflict management, accountability, and developing a results-oriented culture.  

The High-Performing, High Functioning (HPHF) Model, developed by CEO Dr. Judy Favor, is a cornerstone of our leadership development and team coaching programs. This model, which is based on over 15 years of academic and practical research with corporate, government, and elite sport teams, provides a practical framework that helps leaders understand exactly what to focus on to build a positive, high-performing, results-oriented team culture where both leaders and team members thrive. 

Our team coaching programs prioritize meaningful team member self-reflection and growth over traditional "feel-good team building" activities that seldom have any long-term impact on performance or retention. Our customized team coaching workshops dive into real team issues and challenges that impede team performance and erode employee satisfaction. We first measure current team functioning with our Team Characteristics Survey. This quick assessment provides real data and a clear roadmap for priority work with each team. A follow-up measurement at the conclusion of our work with a team documents improvement and charts a path forward for the team and organizational leaders. Data collected over the last three years with a variety of teams show our team coaching methodology works - and has a lasting impact on team performance and functioning
