Our Leadership Development Approach
Our fundamental approach in leadership development is to help new, mid-level, senior, and future leaders identify and capitalize on leadership skills they already possess, identify and challenge inhibiting beliefs and behaviors, and learn or improve critical leadership skills that influence impact - and performance and retention. One-to-one coaching and customized leadership workshops helps leaders, managers, and supervisors improve in specific areas like communication, delegation, decision-making, performance management, and engaging and empowering team members.
The High-Performing, High Functioning (HPHF) Model, developed by CEO Dr. Judy Favor, is a cornerstone of our leadership development and team coaching programs. This model, which is based on over 15 years of academic and practical research with corporate, government, and elite sport teams, provides a framework that helps leaders understand exactly what to focus on to build a positive, high-performing, results-oriented team culture where both leaders and team members thrive.
At the team level, our programs prioritize meaningful team member growth over traditional feel-good "team building" activities that seldom have any long-term impact on performance or retention. We measure current team functioning with our Team Characteristics Survey , then design and facilitate workshops that dive into the real team issues and challenges that impede team performance and erode employee satisfaction. When we are finished working with a team, we measure team functioning again to document improvement and chart a path forward for the team and organizational leaders. Data collected over the last three years consistently show our methodology works - and has lasting impact.
